CASA DE LOS PICOS

phoca_thumb_m_33-casa de los picos

Built in the 15th century, it belonged to the La Hoz family, whom family crest is shown repeatedly in the façade. The diamond peak decoration (from where the building takes its name) has a defensive and ornamental purpose. Tracing an angle with the façade, it opened in the ancient times the Door of San Martin, main access to the city fortress in medieval times, and demolished in 1883. In the present times, it houses the School of Arts and an art exhibition gallery.
